Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to participate in the design of structural building systems from schematics through construction administration, preparing drawings and performing design calculations.

Based in Portland, OR, the successful candidate will collaborate with architects and engineers, mentor staff, review shop drawings, and help advance sustainable design with SE2050 commitment. Pay range is $93,170 - $144,430 USD with a four-day in‑office model and Fridays optional remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering required; master's preferred.
• 5+ years of building-related structural engineering experience.
• PE license required; SE license preferred.
• Experience with ETABS or RISA.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural solutions from concept through construction.
• Create system layouts, narratives, calculations and reports.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and clients in our integrated design process.
• Mentor entry-level staff and promote standards.
