At Jacobs, we deliver state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure that is changing our world. We push the limits of what’s possible to make the world smarter, more connected, and more sustainable. Become part of our Federal team as a Structural Engineer specializing in maritime and civil works infrastructure. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about diversifying their careers and performing structural engineering for a variety of project types including locks and dams, tidal gates and barriers, floodwalls, piers, wharves, pump stations, treatment facilities, as well as conventional designs for buildings, water, and wastewater infrastructure. You’ll lead project teams through the design process and interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors. You’ll be accountable for schedule, scope, budget, and quality of engineering tasks, calculations, and construction documents. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who will build relationships with Civil Works staff across Jacobs’ lines of business to coordinate design activities with waterfront ports and maritime engineers on coastal and inland waterways projects. Jacobs offers competitive pay and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications; flexible schedules and hybrid/remote work opportunities; and a team dynamic that encourages knowledge sharing and growth. Design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed – today and into tomorrow.
