Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Starlink program, based at the Bastrop, TX facility. You will design and deliver civil/structural infrastructure, develop drawings, and manage contracts with subcontractors for fast-paced projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience; PE license is preferred, with strong communication and collaboration across disciplines. Onsite work is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in engineering and/or construction.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).
• Experience creating detailed structural drawings/sketches in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-discipline team on civil/structural engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for civil/structural projects.
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors through close-out.
• Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and cost control reports; resolve design and construction conflicts in the field.
