Job summary

H&H is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Milwaukee, WI office. The role focuses on design and inspection assignments for transportation infrastructure with a collaborative design team.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural degree, 3–8 years of experience, a Wisconsin PE license, and proficiency in SAP, CSI Bridge, LARSA 4D, MIDAS Civil, AASHTOWare BRR, MicroStation or AutoCAD, plus strong communication skills and a disciplined work ethic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Wisconsin PE license required.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with bridge inspection and WisDOT procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop contract plans, special provisions, and engineer's estimates.
• Perform structural design calculations (beam design, reinforced concrete and steel structures design and analysis).
• Perform load ratings on bridges and other structures.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with the design team.
• Assist with field inspections and condition assessments of bridges.
• Research design options and codes with the project manager.
