Job summary

H&H, a nationally recognized infrastructure engineering firm, seeks a Structural Designer for our Morristown, NJ office. The role involves assisting in the preparation of bridge design documents using AutoCAD and MicroStation, performing structural calculations, and supporting inspections and load ratings on local structures.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, 0–3 years of experience, and is pursuing an EIT.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Zero to three years of relevant work experience.
• Internship experience specific to structures or rail preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cooperative, team environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of bridge design documents, including AutoCAD & Microstation plans, quantities and design calculations
• Prepare bridge design documents, including AutoCAD & Microstation Plans and quantities and design calculations
• Complete structural calculations utilizing commercial software and specifications
• Occasionally perform bridge inspection and load ratings on local agency structures
