Hawthorne Executive Search is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will manage a project from proposal through construction administration in a commercial design setting.

The role requires onsite presence in Charlotte, NC, one day per week for meetings. Responsibilities include design calculations, shop drawings, coordination with architects and contractors, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 3+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in commercial/industrial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with timber framing, roof systems and helical piers.
• PE license would be a bonus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analyses and cost estimates.
• Perform construction-related services including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site observation and inspections.
• Collaborate with architects, designers and contractors on design and construction.
• Prepare detailed AutoCAD or Revit drawings from field notes.
• Prepare reports.
