Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Structural Engineer in Charlotte, NC to join an integrated design team. You will participate in the design process from schematics through construction administration and prepare detailed structural drawings and calculations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architecture and other disciplines, BIM workflow expertise, and a commitment to sustainable building design. The firm offers an EPX program and an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (ABET accredited) in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering.
2-7 years of experience in buildings structural engineering, including design of concrete, masonry, steel, wood; gravity and lateral systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
Develop structural designs from concept through construction completion.
Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
Coordinate structural design requirements with architecture and other disciplines.
