You will prepare design plans, perform analyses, review specifications, and contribute to cost estimates for diverse structural systems. CA PE preferred; strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering.
• Minimum of three years of full-time structural engineering experience.
• Experience on school building construction is preferred.
• PE license preferred in California.

Responsibilities

• Prepares structural design plans and specifications, cost estimates and reports for various building structures.
• Performs design analysis and reviews to comply with federal, state and local guidelines.
• Assists in contract administration and revisions for structural services.
• Reviews project status, initiates changes and advises staff on structural issues.
• Designs foundation, floor, wall and roof framing layouts for major structures.
• Evaluates environmental data and soils for foundation design recommendations.
• Performs site investigations, scoping reports and feasibility analyses.
• Maintains accuracy and conformance to recognized standards throughout projects.
