Job summary

Design Hire LLC is seeking a Structural Engineer to support analysis, design, and documentation for complex facility and equipment projects. The role fits a civil or structural engineering background applying solid mechanics and analysis tools in a regulated environment.

You will perform structural analysis for equipment, supports, foundations, and related systems; develop calculations and deliverables; coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and project teams; and review field conditions

Qualifications

• 3 to 10 years of structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience on nuclear, power, heavy industrial, or regulated facility projects preferred.
• Familiarity with finite element analysis or other structural methods.
• Mathcad, MATLAB or similar engineering calculation software experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanics, structural behavior, load paths, and fundamentals.
• Exposure to hydraulics, fluid systems, or equipment-related design is a plus.
• Strong technical writing, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for equipment, supports, foundations, components, and related facility systems.
• Develop calculations, technical reports, design documentation, and deliverables for project execution.
• Use analysis tools to evaluate loads, stresses, structural behavior, and design alternatives.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and project teams to support integrated design solutions.
• Review field conditions, drawings, specifications, and inputs to support accurate design decisions.
