Job summary

Design Hire LLC seeks a Structural Engineer with expertise in steel design and structural analysis for utility and infrastructure projects, including seismic and load-bearing conditions. The role emphasizes ensuring integrity, reliability, and code compliance in demanding environments.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with PLS-POLE and FEA.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master's preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of structural design and analysis experience in utilities or infrastructure.
Proficiency with PLS-POLE, finite element analysis (FEA), and related engineering software.
Solid understanding of AISC structural steel design principles and standards.
Experience calculating base reactions, load paths, and stress factors.
Familiarity with seismic load analysis and regional design requirements.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed structural analysis and design of utility and infrastructure projects using AISC and applicable codes.
Develop and review engineering calculations, drawings, and reports related to steel and foundation structures.
Utilize PLS-POLE, FEA tools, and other modeling software to assess structure performance and optimize designs.
Evaluate structural responses to wind, seismic, and load conditions for stability and safety compliance.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, and field teams to ensure design accuracy and construction feasibility.
