Job summary

Young Love LLC, a leading design/build contractor, is seeking a Structural Engineer in Sioux City, Iowa. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering and three years of experience in reinforced concrete design, along with an active FE license and intent to gain a PE license.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work independently and in collaboration with Senior Structural Engineer(s).
• Design work includes deep foundations, pile caps, mat foundations, spread footings, equipment support towers and bridges (truck/rail receiving tunnels), and vertical slipform concrete superstructures.
• Interact with engineers, drafters, and project managers and superintendents in the development of preliminary and final structural design documents.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC documents.
• Jobsite inspections intermittently required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering and three (3) years of experience with reinforced concrete design.
• Active FE license/EIT designation with the intent and ability to obtain PE license within 1-2 years.
• Experience with AutoCAD, and RISA-3D structural analysis computer software.
• Interest in designing industrial facilities; specifically, reinforced concrete structures.
• Pre-employment, post-offer drug screen required.
