Engineering Design Services LLC (EDS) is an engineering consulting firm headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas, with remote offices in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Orlando, Florida. We are currently seeking Structural Engineers (all levels) to join our growing Orlando office and help drive continued innovation and expansion. EDS-Florida delivers integrated engineering solutions—including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural services—to a diverse and expanding client base. With a focus on themed entertainment and commercial space projects, our Orlando team is a collaborative group of technical experts and creative thinkers . Projects range from designing specialty systems to troubleshooting operational problems to facilitate immersive experiences and even include commercial rocket projects such as designing ground support equipment. By blending engineering precision, imaginative design, and advanced technology, EDS-Florida strikes a balance between cutting-edge solutions and inventive ideas—perfectly suited to the unique character of Florida.
As a Structural Engineer at EDS-Florida, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and executing engineering solutions tailored to our diverse client base. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will play a key role in expanding our client network and managing select client relationships. This position involves producing high-quality engineering documents and reports while ensuring full compliance with applicable codes, client requirements, and site-specific conditions.
To succeed in this role, you must be capable of managing multiple cross-disciplinary projects while demonstrating strong foundational engineering practices. The position requires sound project management skills, effective communication, and the ability to provide guidance and oversight to team members. You’ll be expected to make high-level decisions under pressure, ensuring that all solutions are technically sound, timely, and aligned with client expectations.

Experience:
●3+ years of experience (minimum)
●Structural Engineering Degree Required
●PE License (strongly preferred)
●Demonstrated proficient skills with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
●Proficient with 2D and 3D CAD programs (Revit preferred)
●Develop 3D component/assembly designs, models, & isometric drawings
●Experience in commercial space or themed entertainment industries
●Legal authorization to work in the United States with need for sponsorship now or in the future
●Possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Typical Responsibilities:
·Own comprehensive structural analysis and design for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and building codes
·Evaluate existing structures for repair needs and provide repair design & construction documents
·Prepare and review design calculations, models and construction documents
·Prepare and present technical reports to internal teams and clients
·Engineering and analysis of structural supports and foundations
·Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate structural elements seamlessly into overall project plans
·Component level stress analysis
·Visit sites to perform structural assessments – Routine or Emergency
·Coordinate structural designs with other project trades
·Typical project work may include:
oRetrofit and new facilities
oWind load calculations
oRoof loading
oMechanical equipment and piping supports
oFootings
oFall protection guardrails and ladders
oRetaining walls
oShow set structural support and framing
oRockwork
oCustom metal structures
oExisting condition assessments including
§Steel, concrete, wood, or aluminum structures

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year commensurate with experience and certifications
