Position Overview
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to support industrial projects from initial assessment and conceptual development through detailed design and construction support. The role will involve structural analysis, design, field assessments, preparation of engineering documents, and coordination with project teams and clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural and civil engineering and the ability to apply engineering principles to industrial facilities and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis, engineering calculations, and design for various structural systems and loading conditions.
- Prepare structural drawings, details, specifications, and other engineering documentation for steel, concrete, and other structural materials.
- Conduct site visits and assess existing structures, identifying deficiencies and developing recommendations for repairs, upgrades, or new construction.
- Coordinate structural design activities with civil, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Review contractor submittals, respond to field inquiries, and provide construction support as needed.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, and safety requirements.
- Support project schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and overall project objectives.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and their application to industrial facilities and infrastructure.
- Experience performing structural calculations and analysis for various loading conditions.
- Proficiency with CAD or other structural design and drafting software.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Ability to evaluate existing structures and develop practical engineering recommendations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet established schedules and quality expectations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or advanced engineering degree is preferred.
