Role Description

The Structural Engineer will work on-site in Omaha, NE in a full-time capacity, supporting industrial projects from initial assessment through detailed design and construction support. Responsibilities include performing structural analysis and calculations, preparing design drawings and specifications, and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure integrated, safe, and efficient solutions. The role involves conducting site visits, evaluating existing structures, and developing recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and new construction. The Structural Engineer will collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify requirements, address technical challenges, and maintain project schedules and budgets. Day-to-day activities also include reviewing contractor submittals, supporting field inquiries, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to industrial facilities and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in performing Calculations and Structural Analysis to design and verify structural systems under various loads and conditions.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for producing clear, accurate drawings and details for steel, concrete, and other structural materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related field); advanced degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations applicable to industrial structures.
  • Ability to conduct on-site assessments, work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Experience in industrial sectors such as power, rail, mining, renewable fuels, ag processing, or food & beverage is a plus.
