Job summary

CTS Complete Technical Services in Houston seeks a Mid-Level Structural Engineer with 5–25 years of experience to support Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, and LNG projects from concept through detailed design. You will analyze, design, and evaluate industrial facilities, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver compliant engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Structural Engineering is required.
• 5 to 25 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and/or LNG facilities.
• Experience with EPC companies is required.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design for Oil & Gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering calculations and detailed design for Oil & Gas facilities, including refinery, petrochemical, LNG, and other energy projects.
• Design structural steel, reinforced concrete foundations, equipment foundations, pipe racks, platforms, buildings, shelters, access structures, and miscellaneous support structures.
• Develop structural specifications, calculations, design reports, and engineering deliverables.
• Review vendor drawings and coordinate structural requirements with equipment suppliers.
• Coordinate with piping, civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process disciplines for integrated project execution.
• Participate in structural design reviews, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary model reviews.
• Support field engineering activities by responding to RFIs and reviewing construction issues.
• Ensure designs comply with client specs, industry standards, and building codes.
• Assist with estimating engineering hours, project planning, and scheduling.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance when required.

Job description

We are seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer with 5 to 25 years of experience supporting engineering and design projects within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, and LNG industries. The successful candidate will have extensive EPC project experience and will be responsible for the structural design, analysis, and evaluation of industrial facilities from conceptual engineering through detailed design, construction support, and project execution.

This role requires a strong technical background in structural engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Qualifications

• 5 to 25 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience supporting Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and/or LNG facilities.
• Previous experience working for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company is required.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles for Oil & Gas facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
