As a Consulting Remote Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, preparing month-end ledgers, incurred cost submissions, uploading payroll in Costpoint, 1099 Form Preparation, managing fixed assets, and handling accounts payable and billing. Experience with DCAA and DCMA regulations will be a significant asset.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Perform bank reconciliations, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.
2. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Prepare month-end ledgers and incurred cost submissions.
4. Upload payroll in Costpoint and handle the preparation of 1099 forms.
5. Oversee fixed assets management and handle accounts payable and billing duties.
6. Ensure compliance with DCAA and DCMA regulations and guidelines.
7. Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including financial presentations and capital expenditure analysis.
8. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
9. Review and improve existing accounting systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
3. Proven experience with bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, preparing ledgers, incurred cost submissions, payroll in Costpoint, 1099 forms, fixed assets, accounts payable, and billing.
4. Solid knowledge of DCAA and DCMA regulations.
5. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software systems.
6. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
7. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work independently and manage large, complex projects.
9. Proven effectiveness in a remote work environment.
