Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group in White Plains, NY, is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to contribute from day one and help drive project performance and profitability.

The role offers a path to design excellence across steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation work, with strong codes expertise and collaboration with architects, engineers, and clients. Our team emphasizes fair treatment, growth, and impact.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 2-5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction.
• Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light‑gauge steel, and understanding of foundation design.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients
• Utilize ASCE, AISC, ACI, and other relevant building codes to produce high‑quality, safe, and economical designs
• Attend client meetings
• Coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil, and mechanical engineers
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents, as well as construction
• Produce construction‑ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Necessary Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 2-5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction
• Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light‑gauge steel, and understanding of foundation design
• Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction‑level structural drawings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages is preferred
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
• Engineer In Training (EIT) is highly preferred
