Job summary

Dewberry's Fairfax, VA office is seeking a Structural Discipline Manager to lead a team of engineers and designers on projects across Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland. This senior role focuses on mentoring staff and ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of structural engineering experience, a PE license, strong knowledge of IBC and codes, and proficiency with Revit, RAM, STAAD, and other structural tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 15+ years of structural engineering experience with PE license or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• Strong knowledge of International Building Code and related structural codes.

Responsibilities

• Grow, mentor, and lead a staff of structural engineers and designers.
• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight of all project work.
• Establish and improve standards for the discipline area.
• Coordinate with multi-office design teams and subconsultants.
• Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
