Job summary

Dewberry’s Fairfax, VA office seeks a seasoned Structural Discipline Manager to lead a team of engineers and designers for diverse facilities, including water/wastewater structures, schools, healthcare, and commercial projects.

You will mentor staff, provide technical oversight, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while coordinating with clients and project managers across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of licensed PE experience or eligibility within six months.
• Experience in design through construction close-out.
• Familiarity with building codes and structural standards.

Responsibilities

• Grow, mentor, and lead a team of structural engineers and designers.
• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight across projects.
• Coordinate with design teams and clients to meet schedules and budgets.
• Recruitment and staff development within the discipline.
• Serve as Structural Engineer of Record on projects.
