Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Structural Designer IV to join our team at our nickel refinery plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, with extensive experience in creating detailed design drawings and models for industrial structures. This role requires a deep understanding of structural design principles, CAD software, and the unique challenges of a refinery setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design drawings and models for structural systems tailored to the specific needs of our nickel refinery plant.
  • Create and refine structural layouts, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers, plant managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient design solutions.
  • Prepare and review design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data and ensure designs are implemented correctly.
  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create and modify design drawings, focusing on precision and clarity.
  • Draft detailed plans for structural components, including foundations, beams, columns, and other critical elements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and standards, as well as industry-specific regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for design improvements and implement innovative solutions within the refinery.
  • Provide technical support during construction and maintenance phases.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and drafters.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to industrial structural design.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Structural Design, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations, including those specific to industrial facilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The pay range for this role is:

70,000 - 130,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
