Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc. in Tennessee is seeking a civil/structural drafting professional to perform routine design tasks under close supervision.

The role supports larger assignments and involves drafting plans to meet project specifications, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance with CAD standards. You will work with a cross-functional team, produce concrete and structural steel drawings, and coordinate with field teams to verify tie-ins and clearances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant industrial experience in civil/structural drafting and design.
• Ability to produce drawings for concrete and structural steel, and/or civil disciplines.
• Familiarity with specifications and details of construction bulk materials and equipment.
• Knowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.
• Working knowledge of CAD software, either AutoCAD, Microstation or both.
• Gaining proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good presentation skills.
• Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships continue to develop, and providing interoffice execution support under close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Draft civil/structural plans under close supervision.
• Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments.
• Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
• Assist teammates in field-related work collecting design information and verifying designs for tie-ins, function and clearances to existing facility.
