RESPEC Inc. is seeking a Structural BIM Technician to join the Anchorage, Alaska engineering team. You will draft and model complex structures using BIM software, primarily Revit, and collaborate with multiple disciplines to produce precise plans, elevations, and details for world-class projects.

The role emphasizes visualization, coordination, and maintaining the BIM/CADD library, with opportunities for ongoing professional development in a supportive employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work with cutting-edge BIM technology using Revit and related tools to develop precise, clash-free designs.
• Model and document structures (wood, steel, concrete, masonry) including plans, elevations, and details.
• Visualize complex structures for cross-discipline coordination and spatial problem-solving.
• Curate and maintain BIM/CADD library and ensure easy access to resources and support files.

What you’ll be doing:

• Cutting-Edge Technology: Get ready to dive into the world of BIM software! You will work primarily in Revit and have the opportunity to leverage Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu to enhance your workflows. These powerful platforms empower you to digitally prototype and document precise, clash-free designs that bring facility projects to life.
• Impactful work: Your role will directly contribute to the success of construction projects. From modeling wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structures to producing plans, elevations, and details, your work will shape the future of our built environment.
• Visualize and Coordinate: We believe in thinking beyond 2D blueprints. As a BIM Technician, you’ll visualize complex structures to ensure seamless coordination across disciplines. Your ability to recognize spatial conflicts and help optimize designs will be invaluable.
• Library Management: Curate and maintain our BIM and CADD library, ensuring seamless access to essential resources and support files.
