Job summary

Tesla Facilities is seeking a civil/structural drafter to support design and construction across multiple projects. You will manage BIM (Revit) models, develop 3D engineering designs for permit and construction, and coordinate structural modeling with MEP professionals.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in civil/structural drafting and strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam, with the ability to work under supervision and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• ITE drafting certification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of civil/structural drafting for building or industrial projects.
• Expert knowledge of Revit Structural and proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Works effectively under the direction of the Lead Engineer/Designer with minimal supervision and meets deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing project requirements/timelines.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and construction of new projects and renovations to industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities at multiple Tesla Facilities.
• Manage high-quality BIM (Revit) models and develop 3D engineering designs for permits and construction.
• Coordinate structural modeling with MEP professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
• Improve structural design standards with BIM/CAD support to ensure consistent results.
• Assist in gathering information for RFIs and developing material take-offs.
• Lay out structural solutions for 30%, 60%, and 90% model reviews.
