Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Structural Designer to join our growing Structural team in Boston, MA. You will work on design projects with state and local transportation agencies, performing models, analyses, and supporting calculations while coordinating drafting for various clients.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply! The role involves field or site visits, travel to project sites, and use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
• Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks.

• Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.
• Draw design details under direction of Project Managers.
• Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.
• Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.

• Develop knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.

Structural Designer

Join our growing Structural team as a Structural Designer. In this role you will work on various structural design projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a Designer you will perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs, and supporting calculations / documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients. This position will be based in our Boston, Massachusetts office.

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency Act Massachusetts Pay Transparency Act. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.

$72,000-$85,000 USD
