Job summary

Parsons seeks an aspiring Structural Design Intern to join our team in Tampa, FL. You will provide drafting and design assistance for a wide range of projects, from report stage through design and construction administration, while gaining hands-on experience in engineering plans and specifications.

You will work under guidance, follow standards, perform field work as needed, and coordinate with engineers and designers to deliver cohesive designs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant STEM field.
• Demonstrated excellent technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and design assistance for a wide variety of projects, from report stage through design and construction administration.
• Familiarize with engineering plans and specifications and assigned software.
• Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual.
• Coordinate with other technicians, designers, and engineers to complete details and ensure a cohesive design.
• Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
• Take ownership of personal career development by seeking feedback and pursuing new skills.
