You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr. for the Advanced Development Programs – Skunk Works which is responsible for designing and integrating next‑generation weapon systems.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr. you will be responsible for driving the integration and design synthesis of the JASSM XR weapon system while collaborating across a multi‑disciplinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in the integration and design synthesis across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, thermodynamics, electronics, controls, and actuation.
  • Support and conduct multi‑disciplinary system trade studies to optimize performance and cost.
  • Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, MRB, quality, and supply‑chain teams to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Generate and present technical and administrative materials for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor early‑career engineers and champion One‑LM culture across cross‑functional teams.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secretclearance to start.

Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight. Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or above Degree in an Engineering Discipline
  • Experience in airframe structure design and analysis
  • Experience with metallic and or composite design
  • Experience with CATIA V5 and 3DX
Desired Skills
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Experience working with LM BAs
  • Experience interacting with suppliers, external customers and Production Operation
  • MRB coordination and support

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00
