The Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering and Test (COMET) contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks support the International Space Station, Exploration Ground Systems, Space Launch System (SLS), Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
As a member of the Facility Structures Engineering group, you will work directly with engineers responsible for designing and maintaining new and existing subsystems supporting the Artemis missions. Facility Structures at the Vehicle Assembly Building, Mobile Launcher, and Launch Pad are essential for vehicle processing and launch. This includes Launch Accessories and Umbilicals that provide ground-to-flight interfaces, the Crawler transporter that moves the stacked Mobile Launcher from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the Pad for launch, and cryogenics used to fuel the SLS vehicle.
