Job description

Join to apply for the Structural CAD Technician role at HDR.

In the role of Structural CAD Technician, you'll be responsible for:

  1. Working under the supervision of Architects/Engineers or other technical professionals within a specific discipline.
  2. Creating and maintaining discipline models, generating BIM elements based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.
  3. Producing detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams using current 3D software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  4. Monitoring and maintaining company standards, model health, and coordinating design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and 3D Coordination processes.
  5. Assisting or executing additional Digital Delivery requirements as needed.

Preferred qualifications include experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD, and local candidates are preferred. Minimum requirements are a technical degree or at least 3 years of industry experience, proficiency with 3D design software, document management, and good communication skills.
