Job summary

RINA North America is seeking a CAD Drafter - Structural Engineering to join our Plant Engineering team in Houston, TX or Chicago/Lisle, IL. You will prepare drawings from design markups, coordinate CAD work and support designers and engineers.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit, plus attention to detail and quality checks, will help ensure accurate infra drawings for roads, bridges and utilities. This role offers collaborative, data-driven work within a diverse, global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Ability in CAD software and strong technical drawing skills.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and the ability to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings and blueprints.
• Understanding of engineering principles and the ability to interpret specifications and design documents.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Good understanding of dimensioning, tolerancing, and materials specifications in drawings.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with engineers and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD for infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate CAD with engineers and senior draftsmen to meet standards.
• Prepare and maintain drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Perform quality checks for accuracy and compliance.
