Opportunity

RS&H is seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer II to join our Transportation Infrastructure team in Plymouth, MI.

Job Summary

This role involves working as part of the infrastructure team, serving as a project lead or expert, preparing project specifications, analysis, reports, and designing projects related to bridges and structures. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and may include providing technical guidance to junior staff and managing small teams.

Essential Functions

• Design and develop transportation structures including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Participate in bridge inspections and condition assessments.
• Check drawings and calculations for accuracy.
• Maintain professional licensure.
• Provide technical guidance and manage project tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), ABET accredited.
• 7+ years of experience in structural engineering for steel and concrete bridges.
• MI PE license in good standing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Proficiency in industry software such as Microstation/OpenBridge/OpenRoads, MathCad, LEAP Bridge, MDX, LPILE, and LARSA.
• Experience with MDOT is preferred.

Additional Details
