Farnsworth Group

is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer in one of the specified locations. In this role, you will work collaboratively within a team to design, manage, and deliver excellent Transportation Structural Engineering projects serving local and nationwide clients.

Job Activities:

1. Serve as a technical resource to mentor, manage, and provide QC/QA for Transportation Structural Team staff
2. Lead/perform designs as Engineer-of-Record for various bridge projects
3. Perform structural planning, analysis, and design for transportation projects
4. Manage and supervise bridge design projects, including various types of structures
5. Manage client communications, scope, schedule, budget, and quality; supervise other staff
6. Provide QC/QA for structure designs and projects
7. Assist in preparing project proposals and statements of qualifications

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
2. Illinois Licensed Structural Engineer (SE)
3. 8+ years of bridge engineering experience, including advanced typical structures
4. Hands-on experience as Engineer-of-Record in bridge design
5. Knowledge of structural analysis programs and bridge design software
6. Leadership and communication skills
7. Teamwork and mentorship abilities
8. 5+ years of experience with IDOT and/or Tollway Facility Bridge projects

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with complex and/or railroad structures
2. Master's in Structural Engineering
3. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
4. Project and client management skills
5. NHI certification for Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges
6. Familiarity with various engineering software packages

Salary Range:

$100,000-$150,000, based on experience and qualifications.
