Job summary

Huitt-Zollars Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Structural Bridge Graduate EIT to join the transportation group as a full-time engineer-in-training. You will work with a Professional Engineer to build expertise for licensure and contribute to bridge and transportation projects nationwide.

The role requires a BSCE, EIT registration or progress toward; MSCE and FE exam are preferred. Proficiency with MS Office and design software is expected; relocation not indicated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• Recent graduate to 4 years' experience
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenBridge, RISA, STAAD
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• MSCE degree preferred
• FE exam passed preferred
• Experience in design and plan preparation of transportation structures preferred

Responsibilities

• Acquire understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
• Follow established criteria to perform tasks under Professional Engineers.
• Prepare calculations per design codes following standard practices.
• Prepare design plans and develop quantity calculations.
• Assist in project reports and design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews of concepts.
• Attend project meetings and assist with presentations.
• Interact and collaborate with project team members.
• Implement Huitt-Zollars' Quality Management Plans.
