Client is hiring contractors as Airframe Stress Analysis Engineer (Experienced) to work at our client Washington Design Center in the Structures Organization based in Everett, WA or Renton, WA.
As a Structures Analysis contract engineer, you possess a solid understanding of airplane structural analysis methods and tools for both metallic and/or composite structures. You will ensure the airplane has sufficient strength to endure all conditions encountered during its operational life. The analyst also ensures the airplane structure meets all other design requirements including fail‑safety, durability and damage tolerance where applicable.
Positions could include the following analysis commodities: fuselage, wing/empennage, propulsion structures, systems stress, interiors stress, seats stress.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Ph.D., Master + 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
