Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies in Monterey County offers a leadership role as Assistant Director of Operations for the Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). You will guide daily operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with families and community providers to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

The role requires STRTP administrator eligibility, strong supervision and project-management skills, and a commitment to positive client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for STRTP Administrator certification per STRTP Interim Licensing Standards.
• Demonstrated record of supervising diverse program teams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage complex tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the director in overseeing overall quality and operations of the STRTP program.
• Act as STRTP Administrator managing day-to-day operations.
• Provide direct supervision of program managers, direct care, and administrative staff.
• Provide leadership to staff to foster safety, engagement, collaboration, and learning.
• Ensure compliant care and supervision for youth per regulations.
• Oversee activities required by Community Care Licensing (CCL).
• Support facilities management to ensure safe, welcoming environment.
• Lead in delivering high-quality client care aligned with Seneca values.
• Conduct personnel functions including hiring, development, evaluation, and termination.
• Build partnerships with county offices, schools, law enforcement, and community providers.
• Engage in data-based program assessments.
• Use crisis communication and de-escalation techniques per Equilibrium model.
