Job summary

Jenks Public Schools seeks a Strong Readers Act Interventionist to provide targeted reading remediation under the Strong Readers plan. This 15-hour-per-week temporary position reports to the Site/Building Principal at West Intermediate in Jenks, OK.

You'll work with individuals or small groups, monitor progress, and collaborate with the Literacy Coach to tailor interventions and track student advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate.
• Fulfill district health and citizenship requirements.
• Acceptable alternatives as determined by the Board.

Position: Strong Readers Act Interventionist- 15 Hours Per Week

Supervises: None

Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate.
• Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal

To provide intensive remediation in reading to students on Strong Readers Intervention Plan.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Work with individual and/or small groups providing evidence-based interventions.
• Collect weekly or bi-monthly progress monitoring based on the evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with Literacy Coach and teachers on interventions and student progress.

Employment Terms: Temporary Certified Contract; as needed

FLSA Qualification: Non-exempt
