Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.

• Knowledge of patient safety risks and mitigation steps.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with diverse patients and families.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision.
• Promote and maintain a safe patient care environment.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and equipment for unit operations.
• Conduct patient rounds, anticipate needs, respond to call lights.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed.
• May facilitate telehealth exams with distant providers using required equipment.
