Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Elkins Park, PA, seeks a Patient Care Technician for the 3w Stroke Unit on the night shift. The PCT provides direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinicians, supporting the interprofessional team and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will perform assigned tasks, assist with rounds, help with equipment and supplies, and participate in telehealth or virtual safety initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under licensed clinicians.
• Promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists with supplies and equipment to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs and responds to calls promptly.
• May participate in telehealth and virtual safety initiatives as needed.
