Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System in Raspeburg, MD, seeks an Occupational Therapist II for the Stroke Unit. This full-time role operates Mon-Fri 7:00-3:30 with rotating Saturdays and some holidays, delivering advanced OT services and leading treatment planning for patients with stroke-related needs.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and Maryland licensure, with at least 1 year of licensed OT experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in occupational therapy is required.
• Bachelor's degree accepted if licensed prior to 2008.
• At least 1 year of licensed occupational therapist experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers advanced occupational therapy services through evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans.
• Records patient evaluations, re-evaluations and care in the medical record per standards.
• Informs patients and families of evaluation results and plans for treatment; refers for further evaluation as needed.
• Provides mentorship and training to clinical team members and/or students.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and other initiatives.
• Assists in selection, care, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
