Job summary

UKG in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse - Stroke/Rapid Response to join our on-site care team. The RN will assess patients, perform rapid response and stroke bedside interventions, and collaborate with ICU/ER teams to maintain high-quality outcomes.

Requires Virginia RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2+ years in ICU/ED or stroke care; BSN preferred. This role emphasizes timely assessments, patient teaching, discharge planning, and data collection for ongoing quality

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Nursing.
• Bachelor's or better in Nursing.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessment on admission.
• Collect data and formulate nursing diagnoses.
• Initiate and update care plans within established timeframes.
• Plan, provide and document patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Coordinate with ICU/ER teams to improve patient outcomes.
