Job summary

LCMC Health in the New Orleans area seeks an RN Stroke Program Coordinator to lead the hospital-wide stroke program, uphold AHA Gold Plus standards, and support a growing regional Telestroke network.

You will develop and implement evidence-based care pathways, monitor outcomes, educate staff, and collaborate with WJMC and LCMC leadership to ensure high-quality stroke care and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Associate degree in nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital-wide stroke activations, providing rapid assessment, triage, and treatment coordination.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality stroke care, regulatory compliance, patient progression, and discharge planning.
• Participate in stroke rounds, committee activities, data reporting, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate community outreach, staff education, and stroke awareness programs.
• Support stroke data collection, analysis, and program optimization with Stroke Program leadership.
• Demonstrate effective communication and professional relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
