Job summary

HCT Healthcare Transformation seeks an experienced nurse as Interim Stroke Coordinator for a 250+ bed hospital in California. You will lead stroke program certification efforts, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive quality improvements to meet Joint Commission standards.

Ideal candidates have an active California RN license, recent stroke program management experience, and Epic EMR proficiency to support data-driven decisions and staff education during the interim assignment.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in California with current credentials.
• Recent stroke program management experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of TJC and other regulatory standards.
• BSN preferred; BLS certification considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate disease-specific certification programs with emphasis on the Stroke Program.

Job description

HCT seeks an experienced nurse professional to serve as the Interim Stroke Coordinator for a 250+ bed hospital in California. Responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating disease-specific certification programs with a strong focus on the Stroke Program, driving quality improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as a clinical resource for physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.


• The role focuses on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, education, data analysis, and performance improvement while maintaining compliance with Joint Commission and other disease-specific certification standards.

Requirements:

• Education: RN required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.


• Experience: Requires recent experience in stroke program management, including reporting, process and policy development, staff education, and Joint Commission (TJC) standards. Thorough knowledge of TJC Disease-Specific and other regulatory requirements.


• License: Active State of California RN license required


• Certifications: Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Practitioner certification preferred, BLS


• EMR: Epic experience required
