Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Clinician to support the Neurology inpatient stroke program. The role includes vascular neurology and neuroendovascular service coverage with a weekend rotation (Sat/Sun) of 12-hour shifts and one weekend night per 4 weeks.

Join a large group of 12 APCs and provide patient-centered care. Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and managing inpatient patients, prescribing therapies, and coordinating care with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated clinical proficiency and independent work ability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork within a health care setting.
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage acute, critical and chronic inpatient illnesses.
• Obtain histories, perform exams, determine differential diagnoses and prescribe therapies.
• Interpret data and order/interpret diagnostic studies under physician supervision.
