Qualifications

• RN license in Louisiana is required.

• Performance improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

This position promotes timely, evidence-based stroke care across the continuum from emergency department presentation through inpatient care, discharge, and follow-up.The Stroke Coordinator serves as a resource to physicians, nurses, ancillary departments, EMS partners, and hospital leadership regarding stroke care, performance improvement, regulatory requirements, and stroke program standards.The coordinator works collaboratively with the Stroke Medical Director/Physician Lead and multidisciplinary Stroke Committee to monitor outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, facilitate education, maintain required documentation, and support ongoing readiness for Primary Stroke Center certification and regulatory review.Qualifications:1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing RN, BSN preferred.2. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Louisiana.3. 3-5 years clinical experience.4. Demonstrates leadership ability.5.
