Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a Stroke Program Coordinator with a nursing background to lead quality initiatives and patient care across the stroke continuum. You will develop and implement evidence-based protocols, monitor metrics, educate clinicians and families, and collaborate with physicians and staff to improve outcomes.

This full-time role requires 5+ years ICU/ED/Neurologic nursing experience and QA experience, with some travel to affiliated sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and NC RN license required.
  • CPR and NIHSS certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years in ICU, ED or Neurologic nursing with QA experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead stroke care protocol development and quality initiatives.
  • Coordinate comprehensive stroke patient care across continuum.
  • Monitor and report stroke program data and metrics.
  • Develop education programs for clinicians, patients, families.
  • Support staff competency and evidence-based practice.
  • Manage follow-up, discharge coordination, and community resources.
  • Promote evidence-based care and outcomes improvement.
  • Assist with program development funding and research opportunities.
