Job summary

JAX POWER INDUSTRIES INC. in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Stringer OJT (On the Job Trainer) to train new hires on their assigned workstation and related duties, while assisting in developing training materials with production engineers.

You will perform production work during training and when no new hires are on shift, using a structured 5-D teaching method and SME-level demonstrations of the Stringer Operator role.

Qualifications

• High school education equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and strong English proficiency.
• Positive attitude with empathetic and encouraging mindset.
• Subject matter expert in training with ability to demonstrate mastery.
• Systematic, process-driven trainer capable of achieving KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize personal safety and comply with facility safety regulations.
• Train new hires using training checklists and guidance.
• Apply the 5-D method: Describe, Demonstrate, Do, Double-Check, Document.
• Demonstrate SME level capacity for Stringer Operator and related skills.
• Use positive feedback to coach trainees and build confidence.
• Track trainee progress toward the training completion target.
• Schedule observations and testing for trainees ready to work independently.
• Provide training that supports shift targets and minimizes downtime and defects.
• Offer vacancy coverage to reduce OT and support production goals.
