Responsibilities

  • Cut and trim stringers according to model specifications and production requirements.
  • Prepare stringer systems for installation, including necessary rigging and component preparation.
  • Measure, mark, drill, cut, and modify stringers as required for proper fit and installation.
  • Install stringer systems into boat hulls while maintaining proper placement, alignment, and fit.
  • Perform necessary rigging work prior to installation, including routing or preparing areas for hoses, wiring, plumbing, fuel systems, and other components as required.
  • Read and follow production specifications, measurements, templates, and work instructions.
  • Safely operate grinders, drills, saws, pneumatic tools, and other production equipment.
  • Inspect work throughout the process to identify fit, quality, or installation issues before the boat moves to the next stage of production.
  • Work closely with supervisors and other departments to resolve production or quality concerns.
  • Maintain production pace while ensuring workmanship meets Sea Fox quality standards.
  • Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of unnecessary materials and safety hazards.
  • Follow all Sea Fox safety procedures, including requirements related to fiberglass, dust, chemicals, power tools, and other manufacturing hazards.
  • Minimize material waste and use company supplies and consumables responsibly.
  • Assist with other production duties as assigned.

Stringer Cut, Rig & Install
Position Summary:

The Stringer Cut, Rig & Install position is responsible for preparing, cutting, rigging, and installing stringer systems into boat hulls according to Sea Fox quality and production standards. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, safe use of tools and equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in confined or awkward positions for extended periods.

  • Ability to regularly lift and move materials, tools, and components associated with boat production.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment- may include fiberglass dust, fumes, noise, heat, and other production-related conditions.

  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators, and other protective equipment as required.
