Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Phoenix is hiring an entry-level manufacturing operator. You will operate stretcher equipment to stretch and straighten aluminum extrusions to precise specifications and support production flow.

No previous experience required; full training is provided. Day and night shifts are available with a $1 night shift premium. Hydro offers medical, retirement plans, education assistance, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate basic instructions in English.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to use and maintain basic tools and measuring equipment relevant to the position.
• Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate stretcher equipment to stretch and straighten aluminum extrusions to spec.
• Inspect extrusions to ensure proper stretch setup and quality standards.
• Transfer finished extrusions to saw storage tables and support material flow within the department.
• Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and JSAs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through housekeeping and 5S practices.
• Participate in daily safety meetings, report unsafe conditions, and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with team members and perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals.

Starting Rate of pay: $21.89/hour

Shifts Available and Hours:

Day Shift : 6AM to 6PM EOWEO

Night Shift : 6PM to 6AM EOWEO

Shift Premium: $1 additional for working night shift

What you will be doing

• Operate stretcher equipment using blocks and plugs to stretch and straighten aluminum extrusions to required specifications and dimensions.
• Inspect extrusions to ensure proper stretch set-up and quality standards are met throughout the process.
• Transfer finished metal extrusions to saw storage tables and support material flow within the department.
• Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and department job safety analyses (JSAs).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through housekeeping and 5S practices.
• Participate in daily safety meetings, report unsafe conditions, and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with team members and perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals.

• Knowledge of 5S, housekeeping standards, or continuous improvement practices.
