Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Strength and Conditioning Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based physical training for SOF personnel, enhancing strength, conditioning, injury resilience, and operational readiness.

The role includes movement instruction, program oversight for individuals and groups, and collaboration with Human Performance teammates across garrison, field, and deployed settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field, NSCA CSCS/CSCCA cert, CPR/AED cert.
• Minimum 3 years as Strength & Conditioning Coach with athletes at NCAA Division I/elite levels.
• Physically able to perform and demonstrate prescribed exercises in SOF environments.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and guide physical training, movements, and injury avoidance.
• Design, administer, and evaluate training protocols for SOF personnel in various settings.
• Coordinate with HP staff to ensure safe return-to-training after injury.
• Collaborate with Sports Medicine and performance teams for rehabilitation to performance transition.
