Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based training for SOF personnel across garrison, field, and deployed settings.

The role emphasizes injury resilience, operational readiness, and safe return-to-duty pathways. Candidates need a Bachelor's in exercise science (Master's preferred), NSCA CSCS or CSCCA, 3+ years as a strength and conditioning coach, CPR/AED, and the ability to obtain Secret or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, health science, or related field.
• NSCA CSCS or CSCCA certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of strength and conditioning coaching experience.
• CPR with AED training.
• Ability to hike over rough terrain and work in austere environments.
• Secret or Top-Secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate instruction on physical training, exercises, movements, and injury avoidance.
• Design, administer, evaluate, and document training protocols for SOF personnel.
• Coordinate training programs with HP staff for safe return to training.
• Refer personnel with medical conditions to a medical provider for evaluation and treatment.
• Collaborate with Sports Medicine professionals and Bridge Coordinator for smooth rehab to performance.
• Collaborate with cognitive performance and performance nutrition teams.
• Develop facility SOPs and training protocols including safe use of equipment.
