Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. in North Carolina seeks a Senior Strength and Conditioning Specialist to lead evidence-based fitness programs for SOF personnel at CONUS/OCONUS sites, including Fort Bragg.

The role focuses on performance enhancement, injury mitigation, and return-to-duty in demanding environments. You will design, deliver, and evaluate training protocols, supervise staff, ensure safety, and collaborate with medical and nutrition teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited exercise science/health science/physical education-related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years or more of demonstrable accumulated experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with individual athletes and groups at NCAA DI, Olympic, professional sports, USAF CRAFT, USAF SWTW and/or SOF Operators.
• CSCS or SCCC certification through NSCA/CSCCA.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to perform and demonstrate prescribed exercises in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach and act as a lead for local development of requirements and performance testing.
• Design, administer, evaluate, and document strength and conditioning protocols for SOF personnel.
• Oversee administrative and quality-assurance functions for the physical training program.
• Coordinate training programs with Physical domain staff to ensure safe return-to-training for injured personnel.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained and used safely.
